The venue was started by The Hammond Typewriter Band , and was on where 1st Avenue, Railroad Boulevard, and River Road all came together in Eugene, Oregon. The Alpine Inn (and other places across the street ) besides Billy Shears, were all bulldozed for a Railroad overpass.
