The Checkers formed in Roseburg, OR and were together from 1965 to 1974.The photos are from 1966 while they were playing at "The Bamboo House", located at 2455 NE Diamond Lake Blvd., Roseburg. The building still stands to this day and is currently a bar.
Larry Ferguson was a good friend of Jerry Lee Lewis. One time they all jammed together in fact.
