The Big Newtons formed in January 1995 in Lewiston, Idaho.  The original four members were from other prominent area bands such as the Secret Agents and the Seidel Brothers Band.  The band built a quick reputation for authentic covers of classic sixties and seventies hits with a huge emphasis on three-part vocals.  The have opened an annual summer concert in Lewiston for years with acts like 3 Dog Night, Paul Rodgers, Johnny Rivers, B.J. Thomas, Eric Burdon, Paul Revere and the Raiders, 38 Special, the Classic Rock Allstars and more.  Though most of the members are involved in other acts, they still do two or three dates a year
