I played in a couple of bands in the 60's, one of which was with Ann Wilson. We were called "A BOY AND HIS DOG". The band consisted of, Ann Wilson, vocals and flute, Gary Humphreys, vocals, Jack Bradley, guitar, Dave Sumstead, guitar, Les Thorfinnson, guitar, Dave Smith, bass, Chris Blane, drums. We played together for a couple of years, and there were times a young 16 year old Nancy Wilson would join us onstage at Seattle's 18 and over nightclub, The Phoenix.Dave Smith, October 2002
I saw the band a couple of times in the Seattle area sometime in late 1969 or early 1970. I was in the Army at Ft. Lewis from July 2, 1969 to July 1, 1971. I thought they were great! I hope someone has pictures.

I was the bass player in "A Boy and His Dog". The name came from a line in the country song "Old Shep" Young Nancy came up with that one.
I'm not sure if we played the Owl, but we did play at Marco Caronas' other bar "Oil Can Harry's". We were the house band at the East Side's first live music bar "The Hatchcover" Fun Times for sure!
