The Dwellers were from White Center, Washington (Rat City).  They played from 1958 to 1960 performing at The Eagles in White Center, and also the roller rink which became a youth club where they were the house band.  Additionally they also performed all the field houses etc. in West and South Seattle.  Original members were Howard Smith, Wayne Cox, Dennis Talbott, Mike McGraw, and Jim O'Grady.  In 1960 they changed their name to The Valients.
