The Impacts originally started off as The Fogcutters and were based out of St. Martin's High School in Lacey, Washington, just outside of Olympia. We were limited as to the area we could be heard doue to the fact that six of the eight memebers were from different parts of Washington and Oregon and were locked away in the bowels of this Boarding School. Finding a place to practice surrounded by monks who liked quiteude also didn't help.Being removed from the workd around us, we also didn't know about the number of bands named The IMpacts.
In 1964 we recorded a demo with the song titles of "Burnt Valves" and "Chrome Reverse". John Diede was the recording 'engineer' and Jon Rollins provided the special auto sound effects.
