About 1967

Lance Lambert ~ Saxophone, Flute, Trumpet, Vocals
Herb Tuttle ~ Guitar

Others ?

The Menagerie that I played in briefly (I think five gigs) in 1967 were Fred Tuttle, lead guitar, me on sax/flute/trumpet/vocals and two others who I can't remember.  We were from Tacoma and not the Menagerie out of Mt. Vernon.  I was unaware that there was another band at that time with the same name.

We played frat parties at the UW, a couple of times at the Swinger Tavern (great venue if the patrons didn't kill you) on Seattle's First Avenue before I left the band.

I also played a short time with the Electric Bugle Band, spent six months in Hawaii singing in a folk group called the Third Generation and playing trumpet with the Leia Band.

I spent the summer of 1966 as a roadie for the Fabulous Wailers and remain friends with Kent (R.I.P.) and Buck.

I put on a 800+ classic car show this summer and had the Wailers play. They also hired me to be the emcee at the car show portion of this year's Louiefest.

I am currently the host and producer of the "Vintage Vehicle Show', an automotive topic TV show seen on 47 stations in the U.S. The show has been broadcast weekly since 1993 and airs here on KWPX 3/33 on Thursday afternoons at 5:30 and also anytime on Comcast's On Demand.

Thanks, Lance Lambert, September 2006
