While the members of Ric Martino and Company all called Tacoma, Washington home, we played mostly in the Los Angeles area and at "The Top Of The World" which was a room on the top floor (15th) of the Westin Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska. We did play in the Puget Sound area, however, during home stopovers between trips to Alaska and California... including one six-week engagement at the American Lake NCO Club at Fort Lewis, Washington during the winter of 1974.The clown suits we wore in this picture were not the silliest uniforms we owned. The silliest was a forest green velvet tux with cantaloupe-colored silk shirt. The first time we wore that outfit, we were all sweating so badly by the end of the first set, we had to go down to our rooms to change. The sweat had caused the green dye in the tuxedos to bleed through staining the shirts. After that first night, we could never wear those cantaloupe shirts without covering the stains with those stupid fifteen-pound green velvet tuxedoes. We never bought new shirts. We knew they would just get ruined right away, too. We just wore the stupid things on the first set, only.
