The Band ZINGO was a formed in Vancouver, BC Canada in the early 1970s and was together 6 years. We were managed by Bruce Allen who later when on to manage Bachman Turner Overdrive, Prism, and Bryan Adams, etc.The later version of the Band eventually signed a record deal with Harbour Records from (England) and released a single in Europe.
The band worked steady in the Vancouver Nightclub Scene, and also toured mostly in Canada. We played concerts with Trooper, Sweeney Tod, and toured with recording acts such as the Beach Boys, John Lee Hooker, Brownsville Station, and Canned heat Blues Band.
When ZINGO broke up Guitarist Keith Scott, joined Bryan Adams to record Cuts Like A Knife, and has been recording and touring with Bryan Adams ever since. All the other members of ZINGO have gone on to play with other bands and recording projects.
The first version of ZINGO formed in the 70s consisted of:
Frank Dato - Drums
David Skinner - Guitar & Vocals
Vince Nardulli - Lead Vocals - Percussion - Harmonica
Jim Grant - Guitar & Vocals
Mark Herstein - Bass Guitar
The second version of ZINGO from the 70s was the primary version of that band that signed a record deal and toured with various recording acts. The band lineup was: Frank Dato - Drums
David Charles Skinner - Guitar & Vocals
Vince Nardulli - Lead Vocals - Percussion - Harmonica
Keith Scott - Lead Guitar & Vocals
Joe Alvaro - Bass Guitar
