Salem Armory was THE location for most EJD sponsored concerts and dances from about 1963 to well into the early 80's.

I'm in that photo, dead center about 8 feet back from the stage. WOW! What a crazy night! Girls screaming, passing out, getting pulled up on stage. Geesh!!Llyn M., January 2006
Atomic Rooster (w/ Carl Palmer, later of ELP) warmed up the crowd for Deep Purple at their Salem Armory show some time in 1969-70.

The above are tickets stubs to a couple of the concerts I attended at the Salem Armory in Oregon. The Uriah Heep ticket stub is a copy. I was fortunate enough to have access to a copier machine or I wouldn't even have that memento. They always took the whole ticket. The Savoy Brown/Atomic Rooster ticket is an actual ticket that didn't get used. A buddy called the day of the show and couldn't go... thus the real ticket. The Loverboy show also featured opening act Quarterflash.Ken Simpson, Albany, OR, May 2013
