My sons were in the band "Black Chicken" that was very popular in North Pacific county (Raymond, South Bend, Willapa Valley) in the 2006-2009 range.  They played gigs at the Raymond Theatre, downtown Raymond, South Bend Labor Day, South Bend High School school assemblies and Oyster, skins, and blues at the Willapa Golf Course.  They also put out a self titled album and had a popular local hit "Kinky Walrus".  The album was recorded and produced by Steve Brown, a longtime local musician.  My son Dylan Spoor and Andrew Spoor were both in the band at times.  Also of interest is that their grandfather is John Ledford, a guitarist who has played with many bands over the last 40 years.
