The Blame formed in 2005 with Mike Srok (formerly of DMZ), Greg Mitchell (formerly of Liquid), John Darch and Calvin Bretz. The band played frequently in area clubs including The Classic, Legends, Merchant’s Café, the Redline, Dino's, The Work Shop and the Olde Burien Block Party (among others).
In late 2008, Calvin Bretz left the band to pursue other interests and was replaced by Bill Wymer, who consistently blew audiences away with his note-for note solos on songs like "Crazy Train" and "Eruption". Bill continued with the band through to July 2011, after which the bands members all decided to pursue other interests.
