In Memory of

Richard Tyler

I played with the "Holy Modal Rounders" who originated in NYC in 1963 but moved to Portland OR in 1972-1978.

HMR played on the "Easy Rider" movie and Soundtrack and toured extensively around the Country after moving to Portland.

Another band formed here during that time was "Jeffrey Frederick and the Clamtones", also in Portland from 1974-1978. Jeffrey died in 1997.

Remnants of both bands still exist in Portland as the "Freak Mountain Ramblers" who formed in 1997 and still play extensively in WA and OR

I am Teddy Deane. I  was in both bands originally, still play with the Freak Mountain Ramblers and perform as a solo and/or with others known as the "Play-Rite Boys", based in Friday Harbor, WA.

I also play with the "Rhythmatics" who have been in business for over 20 years and based in Friday Harbor, WA
