I attended Franklin High School from 1972-75 and played in the “Jazz Lab” band.  Over a three to four year period the band won several regional jazz competitions as well as the overall grand prize at the National Jazz Festival in Reno 3 years in a row.  There were several talented musicians that came through Franklin at that time, and who went on to make careers in the music industry, the most famous being Kenny G.
