We were a week-end band, practiced every Wednesday, played every week-end for the latter part of the seventies.

We did Legions, weddings, the odd bar and other small functions around the lower mainland , and Yes, people actually did refer to us as "Sir Smooth and the Boogie King" although they often got who was Sir Smooth and who was the King mixed up.
