Seattle Jazz Society festival at the Woodland Park Zoo circa 1974

Around 1974 I played bass in a Seattle jazz big band formed by Jim Gardiner called “Lifeline.”  We played mostly original tunes composed by Jim (owner of Pajama Studios in Oakland  and Touch-Tone Productions.

Several band members at the time were also in Franklin High School’s Jazz Lab, including: Kenny Gorelick, Dean Mochizuki, David Yamasaki, Lee Turner, Danny Benson, Phillip Woo and David Jackson.

The photos were taken at Seattle Jazz Society festival at the Woodland Park Zoo circa 1974.
