Funeral for Ron C. Thacker, 55, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery.

Mr. Thacker, a resident of Greenacres for 25 years, died Saturday. He was born in Middletown, Ohio.

He served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the Navy.  He was discharged in 1967. He earned a bachelor's degrees in accounting and arts and sciences, and a master's degree in law.

Mr. Thacker worked as a tax accountant for many years. He also played in various bands for 35 years, including 10 years touring with Vocal Point.

He was publisher of Touring News Magazine for a few years and was a member of the Lilac City Wings.

Survivors include a son, Trever Thacker of Seattle; two daughters, Kristie and Tracey Thacker, both of Spokane; his father, Vernon Thacker of Franklin, Ohio; a brother, Mike Tinch, and a sister, Kim Pritchard, both of Franklin; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association, the Kidney Foundation or a local dialysis center.
