Some of the acts that performed at this place during those great years of NW music were:

LaWanda Page
Roger Jerome and the Casuals

Others ??

Sam: There was the "Moonglow Cabaret" located on the North side of East Pender Street several blocks East of Main Street.   It was a R & B oriented 'adult" club with full time house band 6 nights a week. Several of the better musicians from the early 1960's Vancouver music scene played there.

The other R&B oriented  club that was perhaps one of the most frequented was the "New Delhi Cabaret" on the East side of Main Street several blocks South of Hastings Street. These were both places where people had bottles under the table in paper bags!  Ah, the good old days!.

A featured act at the  New Delhi Cabaret  in the early sixties was dancer LaWanda Page and her fabulous fire act.  She later played Aunt Ethel on the TV sitcom Sanford and Son.  She was quite attractive and an attraction as a dancer, with fire seeming to shoot out of her fingertips.
