The Rising Sons started in 1965 and were picked up by EJD Enterprises (Ed Dougherty) in 1966.  We played most of EJD's events including The Sunray's, BJ Thomas, Tommy Rowe, Don And The Goodtimes, with our last big event, closing the show for Paul Revere and The Raiders in March of 1967. Our organ player, Frosty, went on to play for Don Grady (Robby of My Three Son's) in a group called The Yellow Balloon and we saw him on American Bandstand, Where The Action Is, and other TV shows of 1967 playing their top ten song of the same name; The Yellow Balloon. The group, from top to bottom is; Mike Elder, Ken Coultas, Frosty Green, Van Nichols, Dan Taylor.
