I was  an original member of The Sussex on bass guitar from 1965 to 1969 in Portland Oregon .  We opened for Paul Revere and The Raiders at The Teenage Fair 66 or 67 in Portland.  Later in 1968 for The Fabulous Wailers when they were in town from Seattle.  Our lead singer was Ron Gardner's  cousin so we had a good in for the opening slots.

The band was from Gresham, Oregon and we played sock hops, college dances, teen fairs and local concerts.  There are pictures out there someplace.
