I  wanted to mention "The Third Stone", a band from Salem, Oregon.  The 7" I have is on Garland Records (also from Salem) and the tunes are "True Justice" and a cover of the Doors "Take It As It Comes".  The former features a very heavy fuzz guitar and the single is apparently from 1969.   I have no other information, but it was a killer band.
