The Van G's performed from 1964 to 1967 in the Lewiston, Idaho area, playing a variety of Beatles and other British Invasion songs as well as Northwest and other USA rock. They played at local school dances in northern Idaho, the Youth Activity Center (YAC) in Lewiston, the Blue Hare nightclub in Lewiston, Rathskellar's nightclub in Coeur d'Alene and a three month engagement at The Vault nightclub in Seattle in the summer of 1966.  Dick, Dean & Roy moved to the Seattle, Washington Area in 1967 where they played weekends at The Norselander lounge in Seattle.

Dean and Roy continued in music, re-named as The Van Gee’s, they play early rock and light country music. They performed in the Seattle Area at Black Angus and other lounges, then played in Alaska in the 70’s, appearing at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage and at the Travelers’ Inn in Fairbanks.  In 1977 they moved to Las Vegas where they added a drummer and sax / keyboard player and performed until 1989, starring in Lounges and Casinos such as the Flamingo Hilton, Tropicana, Landmark, Showboat, Sands, Desert Inn, Union Plaza, Frontier, Gold Strike.
