I joined Gary, Jim, Marc, and Bob in 1965, and we started playing around locally.  This included Rathskellar's in Coeur d'Alene. I was only 16, but since I played there, and promised I'd hang out by the kitchen, they let me in to see the Sonics, The Wailers, and a score of great bands from the coast. The Vibrants listened and learned a lot from all these groups, including The Fabulous Shadows from Coeur d'Alene, and played in true Northwest fashion.  The music scene then was incredible. I loved every bit of it."

Eric Burgeson, April 2008

Eric Burgeson has had an illustrious music career over the past 40+ years: guitarist/vocalist with 'The Vibrants', 'Cold Power', 'Shyanne', and now 'The Perones'. Eric also performed with the world renowned band, 'Fog Hat'; going on national tour with them in the 80s, and more recently sitting in with them at a big out-door concert here in Spokane about a year ago. Besides being an accomplished guitarist and excellent singer, Eric is a gifted song writer. One of his tunes, recorded by Marty Balin of 'The Jefferson Airplane', became a gold record in Europe.
