Formed in 1971 by four freshmen at William Winlock Miller High School (“Olympia High”): Joe Huston (guitar / vocals), Eric Sholund (organ), Paul Lambert (percussion), Peter Blecha (drums).  We rehearsed at Sholund’s home basement, played several gigs around town, mainly at Skateland Roller Rink.  Classmate Jeff Layton also joined on lead guitar at one or more gigs.  Warbucks played all-original anti-war and revolution-rock songs including: “State Of Mind” and “Wolf Run.”
