We met early in 1964, both of us 7th graders. We both had Silvertone, amp in case guitars. It was great because we could take them on the bus to school in the morning, stash them in our lockers, then take turns going to each other's house after school to practice. The first song we learned was “ Walk Don't Run 64 “ … and the beat keeps going & going….Our first “gig” was at a local grade school talent contest. think we came in third place.
