When I left Bowser Moon, I continued writing and performing 'demos' with my old bass player/friend Roger Hope (Tank).  One of our demo tapes came to the attention of Mark Pooley the program director at radio CKLG (LG 73) in Vancouver, B.C..   LG 73 would be the Canadian equivalent to Seattle's good old KJR 95.

Mark loved the song and said the demo was of sufficient quality that he wanted to 'give it a couple of weeks' of airplay.  Almost immediately, Mark started getting requests for the song  (we have lots of friends, hahaha).  Mark called us and said "hey I'm getting endless requests for this song, I want to chart you guys".  Mark requested promo material for "the band". Hahahah, there was no band. It was just me n Rog multi-tracking in the basement.

We needed to do something quickly.  Roger suggested we call ourselves 'Daddy Cool' as he was a father and we were both 40 at the time.  We went out and got some photos done and such.  It was kinda fun.  We made it to the number 20 position on the LG charts.
