There was yet another "Fat Chance" group playing around Seattle from '72 to 74 or so.  We were booked through Farwest Entertainment, and played just about every tavern around Seattle.

We started the group in Boise, Idaho. The members were Steve Johnson, Lawson Hill, Dale Borge, and Bill LaBounty, who went on to be a major song writer in Nashville.

The version in the above photo is the one that recorded an album for RCA Records in 1972 and toured extensively.  I saw them open for Rare Earth in 1973 or so.  Both Eaton and La Bounty recorded solo albums on Capitol Records following the breakup of Fat Chance.  Eaton, as well as La Bounty, had some success as a songwriter--Art Garfunkel, Anne Murray, the Righteous Brothers, and the Carpenters all recorded his songs.  He's still actively performing and recording and has a web site at www.steveeaton.net.  His son Marcus Eaton has several CDs out and is touring throughout the West.

This was the last episode of the Fat Chance group, that moved from Boise to Seattle...  about 1972 until 1975.
