![]() The History of Rock & Roll often traveled to gigs in Leroy Steven's gold-colored van. The van included a system crafted by Stevens that allowed amplified guitars (or mics) to be plugged in and broadcast through internal speakers, so that the group could practice enroute to its performances simulating its live music - Photo courtesy of Gary Kerr. |
The History of Rock & Roll played on the Olympic Peninsula during the 1970's at popular nightspots such as Manresa Castle in Port Townsend, Willy's in Sequim, Eagles Club in Port Angeles, and Woodies in Clallam Bay. The group enjoyed loyal supporters who would travel anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula to listen and dance to the music the group performed. The musical repertoire included Pop, Rhythm and Blues, and Rock songs from the 1950's through the mid-1970's.Gary Kerr, 17 February 2003
