We started playing at "Willy's" in Sequim, around March of 1966 and were also doing gigs at "The Hilltop Tavern" in Port Townsend.  Later, we moved on to "The Interlude" in Bremerton.  By late 1966 we were playing one night in Bremerton and three nights at "The Mod Room" (MR) at "Scotty's" in Tacoma.  We started out as "Dave and the Dynamics" but when we started playing in Tacoma we changed our name to "Dave and the Torments" because of the already well known band "The Dynamics" who were playing in that area.  We are listed in your "Who Played Where in Tacoma-1966" (18 Dec 66-Sunday (Mod Room) Tacoma News Tribune).  The band broke up in February or March of 1967 but LeRoy Stevens and I started another band in 1971 called "The History of Rock n' Roll" which is already listed on this site.
