Star-Hi Records ordered the above publicity photo of the Interludes - Roger Laybourn and Don Allard - in June 1959.

The 18-year-old Fircrest residents and graduates of Wilson High School, were the latest local singers/musicians to place their hopes on a hit record.  Their first recording "I Want You to Know", was released throughout the West by their manager, Russ Malray of Tacoma.

Besides performing as a duo, they played as part of a rock 'n' roll band, which also featured Steve Ward, Fred Stabert, and Bert Anderson.
