Silver Wings was a Country-Rock band.In 1989 Marilyn Allyn joined the band. Marilyn is the daughter of "Montana" Bill Drinkard (and the Bunkhouse Pals,) a popular North West country band and he had his own radio and TV (KEPR) show in the 50's. She spent 15 years in Nashville playing with the likes of George Jones, Mickey Guilly, Joel Sonnier and Conway Twitty (Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn recorded "Country Blues" on an album called Honkeytonk Heroes, a song that she and Joel Sonnier, recording artist for Capitol Records wrote). She also recorded for Magnum Records, Rip Chord Records and others.
Dick Robertson, May 2005
We were a bar band here in the Tri-Cities that played just enough to keep our hand in the game and make a few bucks. We all gave it up about five years ago and I must say that I do miss it. I don't miss staying up until two in the morning though!
