We had a four-piece band called "The Statix" in Waldport, Oregon, from 1965-67.  The band consisted of Steve Willis, piano/vocals, Mike Kelly, bass/vocals, Chuck Lott, drums, and myself, Preston Wills, guitar.  We played mostly "Seattle Sound" music, but threw in an occasional Chuck Berry or Ventures song.   Our mentors were the Wailers, Mr. Lucky and the Gamblers, and The Intruders, out of Florence, Oregon.
