WJ & the Fantastics was another Pacific Northwest band from the 60's.  We played at local school dances in northern Idaho and eastern Washington around 1964 and 1965.  We also played at the YAC in Lewiston, the Bantam Hut in Clarkston, and Casey's to name a few.  We were highly influenced by the Wailers and other Pacific Northwest bands.

Mike, Bob Grimm and I attended school together at Lewiston High School and had played in different groups.  I invited Bob Clabby, who I worked with, to play bass.  Chris Mooney transferred to Lewiston High School from Spokane, where he had played in a couple of bands.  Bill Bair (WJ) joined us - and WJ & the Fantastics was born.
