Formed about 1964, the Bishops were Garfield, West Seattle and later Shorecrest High School students.

One of the band highlights was loaning their amps and guitars and quite possibly their B-3 organ and Leslies to James Brown after a train wreck derailed, so to speak, the arrival of their equipment for a Seattle show
