I just finished my first paid gig as a professional solo keyboard player (artist?); five consecutive weekends plus New Year's Eve as the warm-up act at the most popular night-spot in Spokane, The Bluz at the Bend.

I decided to take up the keyboard four years ago, and have been practicing two to three hours every day (without fail) since then. You see, all my buddies are musicians; the same guys I worked with or was acquainted with in the business 30 to 40 years ago. In those days I was a singer only. So, wanting to be included as a musician among my peers, I learned to play.

I use no drum machine or sequencing... just a good left hand.
