Judging by the band photo above, one might think that these guys worked as manniquins in the men's fine fashions department at Sears... Think again!  With Mike "Harmonica Playboy" Lynch at the helm,  this band, originally formed by Mike in the mid to late '70's and re-formed by Mike and Tom Boyle in 1989, was "blues, more blues, and nuthin' but the blues, baby!"  The uniqueness of Mike's silky smooth vocal delivery and to-the-point harp playing, matched against the often hard-edged sound of his band, made Nitelife one of the most popular blues groups of the early 1990's.  With Mike's departure in 1992, the band found itself without a regular frontman for it's final year, hiring whoever was available to fill the slot...Oh yeah, The Washington Blues Society voted them "Band of the Year" for their efforts!
