I was the bass player from 1981 to 1987. It was quite exiting times playing 50 - 90 nights a year. Most memorable was opening for Doug & the Slugs. We played lots of nights at the Commodore Ballroom, many weekends at the Reef in Point Roberts, weddings, sports dances, and most all of the high schools in town & then some. We looked pretty cool in our Miami vice suits! These guys are my brothers!Steve Sukert, April 2008
Wall Street - 1987 - at Jukebox Johnny's - Vancouver (Photo Courtesy of Tom Hammel)I know Rob Lehane and Danny Olsen played together in another band
Wallstreet at the Commodore Ballroom - 1986I was in several basement bands that never make it out of the basement... and we played lots of basements!
The interesting additions for wallstreet will be the past histories of guys like Frank Bond and especially Peter Clarke. He was a top session bassist and vocalist in Vancouver and was also a member of a band called Straight Lines. They released 2 albums in the early 80s and had a top 10 hit with "Letting go" that still gets airplay on local stations.
I know Tom Hamel was in a Beatles tribute band called "The Spoilers" (actually, so was I for about 2 months).
Right now Rob Lehane is in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is playing full time and was actually up here recording last month.
