Stan Peebles

The Wellington Five was formed from three former members of Leroy & The Galahads:  John Ogden, Toby Masters and Stan Peebles.

The Wellington Five recorded a two sided 45 single record:

Quest  QS 302A:  Please Have Mercy
Quest  QS 302B:  Summertime Blues

This two sided 45 was recorded at Camelot Records  and released by Jan Kurtis Skugstad on his Quest label, Lynnwood, WA.

Please Have Mercy is included on his recent released album:  ROCK 'n SOUL   Seattle Sounds of The 60's (Camelot Records ).  This album includes many other great artists from the 60's:  The Wellington Five, Dave Holden, Ron Buford, Tiny Tony, Merrilee Rush, The Gatormen and more.

We were booked  to record  the Monday morning after a tragic car accident that weekend when the N.W. lost  2 Great rock & Roll pioneers, Tom Blessing and Larry Evans of Tom Thumb & The Casuals, They were also working in Eastern Washington that weekend.

Our band the (Wellington Five) had just made the return trip home from playing the weekend at the Ratskeller's Inn, Sherman Avenue, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to Seattle this same weekend.  We heard the news of the accident over the car radio.

On Monday morning during the recording of SUMMER TIME BLUES we decided to dedicate the song to:  "Tom Blessing & Larry Evans of Tom Thumb & The Casuals".  This was recorded onto the record at the beginning of the song  by our singer Stan Peoples.
