The Slackers were a four-piece band that played various bars and taverns from Everett to Burien and even ventured to Central Washington on a few occasions. They played Classic Rock mostly but did do a few newer songs. They prided themselves on playing top notch vintage gear such as Gibson, Rickenbacker and Fender guitars as well as Vox, Fender and Matchless Amplifiers.

Some of the other Pacific Northwest music groups represented in members of The Slackers include Chaser, The Hurricanes, The Unknowns, Hiwatt, The Sterling Silver Band, The Backbeats, Chaser, Planet and Oasys
