The Fabulous Hectones

Marc Lagen (guitar), Bob Wikstrom (keyboards), Mark Mosholder (bass) and Woody Robinson (percussion) formed a quartet in 1999 to bring soul, R&B influenced music to downtown Kirkland.  Playing in the little bar at Vidal’s European Bistro, the band gained notoriety as not only being tight and funky but also being able to squeeze a large keyboard, drums, bass, and guitar into a space no bigger than a good sized hot tub.  It made for great times, good friends and fond memories.

In October of 2004, Hector’s stepped up to rekindle the old Wednesday night magic and on Oct.27th, the quartet, now named the Fabulous Hectones introduced live music to the “Back Room”.  From that day forward, every Wednesday night for a year and a half, the Fabulous Hectones rocked the house with music, mayhem and a bit of debauchery.

All former “full time” professional musicians, Marc, Bob, Mark and Woody have a combined musical experience of 170 years. The Hectones are unique in that they use a Hammond B-3 organ and they all sing.  This makes for a “fat” sound and rich harmonies.  They also have a Varity of musical guests show up to lend a hand with all the fun. Many of these folks now have their own bands playing in the Wednesday night rotation.

The Fabulous Hectones offer great music, fun times and a few surprises on Wednesday nights at Hector’s in Kirkland.
