Comments: Hey Ken....I have not checked back on the site and a friend of mine found this. Went and had a look at the Tank photos and I think I still have all of those as well. Everyone looks so young. I dug out my 45 of "City Lights" to show my son Dylan. He is 12 now and just adored his Uncle Bert. I can't beleive it has been 5 years since Bert passed away. I still miss him.So here is a quick update on the family: Gary is living in Hatzic. I don't think he has played the bass since my wedding in 1994. Wally is living in Port Coquitlam. Still single so if you know any good women, let us know. Sandra is married and she lives in Anmore with her husband Doug. They have no kids, but a golden retreivier names Riley. I live in Port Coquitlam with my husband Al and our son Dylan. Mom is turning 82 this July and she lives with Al & I in our basement suite. Well that's it in a nutshell. I told Wally and Sandra you had dropped a ine and they said to say HI. Sandra was telling our husbands how she used to cut your hair.
Al and I ran into Roger Hope about 2 years ago. His wife and daughters were with him. Al used to coach Debra in soccer and he asked Roger if he used to play in TANK with Bert. He didn't know that Bert had passed away and so when he asled how The Kid was doing, I had to tell him that Bert had passed away.
You take care of yourself and I will make sure to check out the site.

Comments: The Right Angle was actually The Ambassadors. The name was changed to the Right Angle while in the recording studio (F& F Productions in Seattle). The original members of the band were: Bob Day, rhythm guitar/vocals; Pat Gossan, Keyboards/vocals; Bill Vogt, bass/vocals; Bill Brodie; drums/vocals; Barry Hein/ lead guitar/vocals. Bob Day and Bill Vogt were the founding members. Good guys......good band! (Pat did most of the lead vocals).

Comments: I met Jimi's father here in Seattle back in 1984.Down the street from Garfield High School where Jimi attended. Also Quincy Jones and Bruce Lee. I met more of the Hendrix family when one of my good friends Robert Redwine and his mother Velma invited me and my wife Rea Harbin to attend a meeting and then dinner with guest apperance by Russell Simmons at the Shereton Hotel downtown Seattle~ Just to determine where dose and who dose what with Jimi"s $$$ and stuff. Redwine's Uncle is named Web Lofton of "Web and the Rocking Kings" where Jimi played the bass and Web played the sax. They would often end up at Webs mothers house after a show or performance where she would cook up a marvelous meal fit for Kings...I know this because I have tasted it for myself~been there done that. When Robert and I used to sing and dance with two other guys Patrick Lewis and the late Sam Wilson (God bless his soul)~We were called (X-posure) the very thing we needed, but never gotten enough of. Web's mother whom which we call Momma Lil, and Web "Uncle Web" (X-posure) would eat the marvelous grub she would lay out for us. There is a life size stutue of Jimi on Braodway and Pine playing the guitar on his knees. Seattle loves them some Jimi Hendrix. He even has his own Vodka called "HENDIX" with purple lining around the lable.

Comments: I lived in Penticton for a period of time in the late seventies and worked in a mobile home factory. I brought a few friends with me to get jobs. We all dressed like cowboys; hats, boots, leather vest, big buckles, Skoal etc. Lonestar was our band, they used to just rock the Copper Mug in the Penticton Plaza.Diggy Diggy Lo, Bossier City and Leah were faves and we used to follow them wherever they played. When they started playing Vancouver we thought they were going to hit the big time. Some of my best memories of a bunch of great guys...

Comments: Craig was one of my closest friends back in the late 60's Craig was the drummer of the Richmond Blues Band from Compton, we were tight brothers and followed after all the great blues greats of our time, I miss Craig, we were the blues boys and those of us still here are still playing the blues and having lost track of Craig after he moved to Oregon it looks as though Craig took his skills to great heights--certainly Craig's influence is all over Portland's music past, what a great guy I was privileged to play musically.

Comments: I found photos for a few of the bands that I played in during the 1970s: Antelope Freeway 1975-76 (Tom the bass player send me an email); Dryft 1973-4 (John, Don and Randy); Tom and John; The Craze (Spokane - Chris the Drummer are you still around) Pheonix (John, Doc, Al, Jim Fuller, Chris eggars, Rick, and Mike).
I would like to find photos of other bands I played in: Hot N Nasty, New Rocking Horse, Pheonix pictures or posters of when we played at the lost Knight Club, Pacific (Zorch, Steve Brown, and Darryl are you still playing), and Night Cruise (Spokane).
I still have a few recording of these bands salvaged from a VW van fire back in the late 1970s... if anybody is interested. john scholer

Comments:I want to share a memory. Way back my family would always go to Horseshoe Lake, near Port Orchard, to swim during the summer. They still had the dance hall. so It was back in time. My uncle's "new" car was a 1949 Ford Coupe, all shiny black! But he wasn't married yet, so the car was probably more than five years old.
My Mom religiously stuck to the 'one hour after eating' rule, so I went to the snack bar, under the dance hall, to check out the offerings. I heard music being played upstairs! I ran back out and told Mom that I was going up to check it out ( I didn't want a time-out for not informing her).
I watched you guys playing in sweltering heat with nobody up there listening! The drummer at the time (I'm assuming Mike Burk [dark, wavy hair and black sleeveless t-shirt], gave me a quarter to go tell everyone on the shore about you. I walked all up-and-down that beach for about an hour, and when Mom said I could go back in the water, I asked if I could back up and see if anyone came in. (I really don't blame anyone for not listening... It was a hot summer day, and it was twice as hot in that room). I watched you guys basically having a practice session and talking through the songs and starting over several times. As a, maybe, 5 or 6 year old, I was fascinated! My Mom, finally, came up to get me 'cause it was time to go home. I was so ticked that I didn't get to swim. I bought my first guitar in 8th grade, but I already knew how to run a rehearsal!

I saw Hoyt Axton, Peter Yarrow, Taj Mahal, Paul Horn, and the great Odetta at The Egress. Wish I had seen Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, or Freddie King, but somehow missed them. I loved the fact that it was a small, intimate and very COOL PLACE to hang. Beatty Street sure has changed since those halcyon days.

Of course we took a car load or two to more than one concert in Chicago. And, I had three or four albums (vinyl) and around 2002, used Holy Roller Blues to open my first night as Youth Pastor ministry in our Assembly of God church. It scared a couple of old people. In addition to Servant both Petra and Rez Band came to Lancaster every one or two years while I was in high school in the early eighties. These three Christian Rock bands changed by attitude about listening to Christian music. I was very tired of the visiting Christian quartets that always would play at my home Church of Valley View Church of the Nazarene in Lancaster. I look at Servant, Petra and Rez band as opening my heart to the possibilities that Jesus could be worshipped through the music of my generation. Comments: I was a runaway from foster homes living on the streets of Vancouver in the early sixties. I had no money and I was too young too get into Danceland yet I hung around the doors and saw the whos who of musicians, I listened from outside. I just turned 60 I was 14/15 then. wow
